Entrants must cover the required distances over an appropriate nearby terrain, or travel to Scottburgh where trails have been made available thanks to “race boss”, Flavio Scarpa. Athletes can choose between a 5km or 12km distance for the trail run and a 10km, 22km or 42km distance for mountain biking. Virtual sporting events held over the past few months have seen most runners make use of their treadmills but now that the lockdown regulations have been eased, those taking part in this event MUST be outdoors to race and cover the distances over real terrain.

They are also reminded that they have to run or ride off-road. There are prizes to be won, and a ‘selfie’ competition and lucky draw will add to the fun..To find out more about the event, rules and entry fee, visit www.roag.org.
