Gladys takes senior singles title at Winkle BC
Annalie and Trish winning the women drawn pairs 2-4-2
WINKLESPRUIT Bowling Club’s women’s drawn pairs 2-4-2 was played on Monday, 22 July.
Winners were Annalie Pienaar and Trish Farmer.
On Wednesday, 24 July, the men’s drawn pairs 2-4-2 was won by Mac Appelby and Martin Young.
Mixed pairs honours went to Alan Raubenheimer and Rose Montgomery, while in the women’s trips, Trish Farmer, Elmarie Young and Sandy Snyman were victorious.
Men’s nominated pairs 2-4-2 winners were Paul Els and Aubrey Toy.
On Thursday, 25 July, the Clearwater Spur men’s 2-4-2 100 board was won by Das Veldsman. The second session went to Bill Rawlinson and Colin Coetzee. Overall winners were Martin Ingels and Duncan Wright.
On Saturday, 27 July, the men’s nominated pairs winners were Mike Kruger and Mac Macrory.
On Monday, 29 July, Eagle Canyon Spur mixed trips 100 board was won by Elaine Critchlow, and first session went to Yvonne Appelby, Mac Appelby and Charlotte Kohl. Second session was won by Bill Rawlinson, Rose Montgomery and Susan Erasmus, and overall winners were Estelle van der Merwe, Jeanette Els and Piet du Toit.
The women’s senior singles champion is Gladys Yelland and runner-up is Elaine Critchlow.
The club’s deepest condolences go to Marina Clarke, whose husband sadly died.
