A REMINDER that nipper season commences for Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club at Winklespruit beach with an open day for all children between the ages of seven to 14-years.
This takes place on Sunday, 1 September at 8.30am. Take your friends and go see what nippers is all about. There is lots of training but also lots of fun.
Another important weekend for all members is Saturday, 7 September with the awards function at the club starting from 6pm and Sunday 8 September with the AGM being held at 3pm. All members must make an effort to attend these important events and a reminder that subs must be paid by then.
Congratulations to Joe Lee’s squad and squad leader Gareth Hazell on a well done duty this weekend. The weather is not the greatest at the moment but the commitment shown by squad members is commendable. It was also good to see squad members catch up on their studies while they were on duty.
All members must note that annual re-tests will take place shortly, so start preparing. Club captain Brad McCann will circulate the dates.
