MEG Foundation returns with hospital teddy bear drive

A Hospital Christmas Teddy Drive in Amanzimtoti aims to gift plush animals and teddy bears to sick children in need.

NO CHILD should be in hospital during the festive season, but many are and this harsh reality has spurred non-profit organisation (NPO), the MEG Foundation, into action with its Hospital Christmas Teddy Drive, with collection running until December 5.

The NPO’s initiative entails boxes placed all around Durban, including Malvern, Queensburgh, Chatsworth and Newlands West. After its success during last year’s drive, MEG Foundation once more placed its box at The Surfing Bean Cafe, on 97 Beach Road, Amanzimtoti Main Beach.

To support the initiative, drop off new or pre-loved plush animals or teddy bears in good, clean condition. It will be gifted primarily to children in hospitals, disability centres and to sick children living in impoverished communities. Get in touch with the MEG Foundation via WhatsApp on 063 131 6636 or email meginitiative@gmail.com. Alternatively, visit themegfoundation.com.
