Children donate generously to dinner fund

Toti residents continue to give generously to the annual Animal Christmas Dinner Fund.

This week’s donations include R100 from Rose Hutchinson ‘in memory of Snuggy, Purdy and Yoda’, R200 from Wilma for Sarah, R50 from Margaret Turner, R100 from Bianca Beukes and pets ‘to all homeless animals at Toti SPCA. Have a happy Christmas and enjoy your lunch’, a fantastic R1,000 from Kas Govender ‘in loving memory of Porkchop and Jade’, R100 ‘with love from Sarah’ and R200 from S Clay.

The children of Stepping Stones Academy in Doonside collected R400 for the dinner fund after they adopted Toti SPCA as their charity of the year. They also collected funds, toys and bric-n-brac throughout the year. Amanzimtoti High School pupils donated R793,50. “Thank you very much to the children for everything they do for the SPCA,” said Marlene, the fund organiser. “It’s wonderful to see that young people care for animals.”

You can help contribute to the fund. The contributions go towards food for the homeless and destitute animals that are housed by Toti SPCA.

People who wish to contribute can have a short message on behalf of a pet printed in the Sun. Send donations either to SPCA or c/o M Prinsloo, 601 Strandburg, PO Box 312, Amanzimtoti, 4125. Please note, cheques must be made out to Toti SPCA.

Alternatively, make a direct deposit into Toti SPCAs bank account. Details are: Standard Bank Prospecton, branch code: 057827, account number: 053211189. Put the reference as Christmas so the SPCA knows where to allocate the funds.

When making a deposit, send a message via email to Marlene at strandburg@lantic.net or fax to 031-903-7918 or contact Toti SPCA on 031-903-2424. Should you wish to remain anonymous, just give a message of some kind on behalf of your pets.
