Wear a precious feet pin

AFRICA Cares for Life encourages the community and churches to get involved in defending the sanctity of human life by wearing a special lapel pin for its precious feet awareness campaign, to observe Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) on 2 February.

The 'precious feet' pin is the exact size and shape of a 10-week-old foetus. SOHLS is observed on the Sunday in February that falls closest to the day on which abortion was legalised in SA.

Since 1998 Christians in SA have observed SOHLS as a day to celebrate the intrinsic value of all human life. “The day is also an opportunity for pro-life organisations to share about the work they do to bring life-affirming resources to their communities and to empower men and women to choose life for their unborn children,” said director, Shanno Enoch.

The community can get involved in the campaign by buying the pins from Africa Cares for Life. Buy between one to 15 pins at R20 each; 15 to 50 pins at R18 each and 50 to 100 pins at R15 each.

“Not everyone can give a speech, counsel or give their time to this movement. But I know all of you would like to have a part in saving babies' lives.”
