Toti tot a Miss Junior SA finalist
BUDDING beauty queen, Londeka Gumede of Toti has been selected as a finalist in the Miss Junior SA pageant in the the seven to eight-year age group.
The seven-year-old grade 3 Doonheights Primary School pupil will participate in the national competition in Pretoria from 1 to 4 May.
“She is super-excited. At first she was nervous, but has now re-grouped and it has boosted her confidence,” said proud mom, Thandeka.
Londeka was selected at the regional round of the competition held in Ballito on 18 January.
“She entered her first competition, Miss Santa in Musgrave in December and placed in the top five. Londeka also models and enjoys being on stage.”
At nationals, she will competed in four stages, among them an introduction round. “She is practising by regularly attending modelling classes.”
She is a keen swimmer and netball player and earned an outstanding achievement award in grade 2.
“She wants to purse modelling as a hobby, as long as she can, but is also focused on school work.”
