Wet weather causes collisions

“In the CBD, two cars collided and veered off the road and one man was seriously injured. The second incident occurred on the northbound lane of the N2, near Illovo River. According to the driver his vehicle hit a puddle of water and spun out of control before rolling. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was found under the roadside barriers with serious injuries,” said Chris Botha of Netcare 911.

The third accident happened between the Winklespruit off-ramp and Doonside. “A vehicle spun out of control in wet conditions and overturned several times. Fortunately the driver escaped uninjured.”

The injured were stabilised and transported to various hospitals for the care they required.
