Nautical Mile B annihilate foes on the pool table
Boardroom B took a secure score of 11-7.
SAPPHIRE Coast pool league results from Wednesday, 26 March:
Moulin Rouge B and Warnadoone A teams were even at the first round.
Warnadoone A took four of the six points in the next two rounds and Sheldon Birk scored a grand full house. After fighting back, Moulin Rouge B only managed to score three out of the four last singles games. Splitting the doubles scores gave Warnadoone a happy 10-8 victory.
Warnerdoone B and Reef D teams drew in the first round. Losing all four of the next round’s points and only grabbing one point each in the third and fourth round, left no hope at all for recovery. Clint Mooiman and Barry de Beer both scored full houses, with Johnny Roets winning three of these four games. With even points for the doubles match, Reef D walked away with a comfortable 13-5 win.
There was almost complete annihilation for Warnerdoone C team as they scrambled for points against Nautical Mile’s B team. With Billy Holm, Morne Mienie and Arthur Stead each scoring a full house for Nautical B, together with team mate Juan Pienaar taking both doubles games, Nautical Mile B won with a smashing 16-2 victory.
The two rounds of 1-3 losses of the Warnadoone D team against Boardroom B could have still ended in a draw. Sadly both doubles matches were grabbed by Boardroom B. Rudi Hunt scored a full house with Andries Coetzee taking three of his four games. Boardroom B took a secure score of 11-7.
Thank you to the supporters who made Nautical Mile’s competitions worthwhile. Spectacular shooting, break and clears and great talent in Sapphire Coast made for two exciting days.
