Transnet class action suit delayed

This is clearly seen as a delaying tactic and contempt of court.

EDITOR – As a follow up to my recently published letter, I wish to inform Transnet pensioners that our class action court hearing scheduled for 8 and 9 May has been suspiciously postponed to 21 and 22 July.

This has arisen as a result of the Department of Public Enterprises petitioning the Deputy Judge President for an extension of time to submit affidavits and heads of argument, which should have been done by 10 March.

This is clearly seen as a delaying tactic and contempt of court, with the minister once again attempting to deny us our day in court when our legal team will prove beyond doubt the injustices that have taken place over the past two decades.

Despite this setback, we still remain confident of success and look forward to the arrival of the day of reckoning.
