UPDATE: Police stand-off at Winifred Drive crime scene

The Winifred Drive crime scene that police attended this evening was a housebreaking and not the scene of a shooting.

According to George Snodey, a home was broken into and electronic equipment such as laptops and cell phones were taken.

No shots were fired according to his knowledge.

TOTI police are standing off at the scene of a crime in Winifred Drive, St Winifreds currently (Thursday evening, 12 June), in what is believed to have been an armed robbery and shooting at a residential home.

Details are sketchy and police could not be reached for comment to confirm the details of crime. However, the Sun was notified of the crime through social media, while Toti Crime’s website has had postings from individuals saying that suspects went into a house and robbed the occupants.

It has been said that there was a fatality, and a second person was injured after gunshots were fired, however this could not be confirmed.
