Derby day sports action for schools
Kingsway derby day against Kuswag, featuring rugby, hockey, netball and badminton.

Kingsway High School marks its Founders Day on Saturday, 21 June.
“It is a derby day against Kuswag, featuring rugby, hockey, netball and badminton,” said Kingsway High School marketer, Elaine Woor. “The primary school game will be Toti Primary versus Warner Beach Primary.
There will be music and fun games between the rugby matches on the main field, as well as bacon and egg rolls, boerewors rolls, hamburgers, cool drinks and tea and coffee on sale.
Kingsway celebrates its 61st birthday this year and the day is about pupils enjoying their sport and supporters having fun watching them.
The Old Kings past pupils association will be doing the commentary and there will be a Kuswag person helping with commentary in Afrikaans,” said Elaine.
“There will be a prizegiving afterwards, where the ‘man of the match’ (one each from Kingsway and Kuswag) for the three first team games will be announced.
The sports derby is for the whole family and we would love past pupils from both schools to come and support their teams. The idea is for everybody to enjoy the sport and atmosphere, while supporting the the local schools.”
The action kicks off from 8am, with the two first rugby teams doing battle from 11.15am.
