Course to forge understanding about post-abortion stress

AFRICA Cares for Life is hosting a post-abortion counselling course at the Lionsgate Church in Queens Terrace, Doonside from Wednesday to Friday, 20 to 22 August.

It is from 9am to 5pm and the trainer is Danielle Gradwell.

The cost is R650 which includes refreshments and a manual. Take your own lunch.

The content of the training covers: Setting the standards; development of post-abortion stress; the grieving process; the healing tasks; establishing an abortion recovery programme; initial contact with the post-abortion woman; running a group and a breakdown of sessions.

This course will equip counsellors in understanding people facing post-abortion stress.

Abortion recovery peer counselling is endorsed by Africa Cares for Life and it is Council for Counselors SA accredited.
