UPDATE: R603 biker has pins in his legs

He is recovering in hospital

TOTI biker, Keela Wherle (26) is recovering in Prince Mshiyeni Hospital, after he was hit by a car on the R603 in Winklespruit on Sunday morning, 27 July.
The incident happened when a car turned in front of him, which he was unable to avoid.

He sustained a serious injury to his left leg. “The bone below the knee is shattered. Doctors have put in temporary pins to keep it in position, until the swelling goes down. They will operate later to put in permanent pins,” he said.
He expects to be in hospital for another two weeks.
