Disabled man receives wheelchair donation

With assistance from estate agents and Cycling for Mobility.

A DISABLED man of KwaMakhutha, Senzo Xolani Nzama is now mobile due to the intervention of local estate agents.

“On 18 July, when we celebrated 67 minutes for Nelson Mandela, a group of agents hosted a tea party for a lot of old women in KwaMakhutha, who attended with their grandchildren. Among these people was a young man who is not only mentally challenged but also crippled. He was carried down to the venue in a plastic chair where we were having tea and cakes,” said Christine Mason of Pam Golding estate agents.

Senzo’s lack of a wheelchair touched their hearts. “We made an effort to find a wheelchair for him. Fortunately, Flavio Slavio who is involved with Cycling for Mobility listened to our story and a few days later, his organisation donated a new wheelchair which was handed over to Senzo and his mother on Wednesday, 6 August. I cannot express how happy he was when he saw the wheelchair. As he is unable to talk, he waved his hands around and smiled.”

The agents thank Cycling for Mobility for its generous donation.
