Post-abortion counselling course to foster understanding
And enhance counselling training techniques.
AFRICA Cares for Life hosts a post-abortion counselling course at its offices at the Lionsgate Church in Queens Terrace, Doonside, from 10 to 12 September.
The trainer is Danielle Gradwell.
The course runs from 9am to 5pm daily and the cost is R650 per person which includes refreshments and a manual. Take your own lunch.
The training content covers: Setting the standards; development of post-abortion stress; the grieving process; the healing tasks; establishing an abortion recovery programme; initial contact with the post-abortion woman; running a group and the breakdown of sessions.
This course will enhance your counselling training techniques to equip counsellors to understand people facing post-abortions stress.
