A housebreaking suspect was shot by a Toti resident at about mid-day on Friday, 29 August.
According to police, Umkomaas SAPS were in pursuit of a hired Huyandai Getz with different registration numbers, following a housebreaking incident and burglary.
The vehicle crashed in Old Main at about 12.15pm and three men fled in different directions.
Managing member of ET South Coast, Tony Lokker circulated a description of the three men.
George Snodey and the Community Crime Prevention Organisation responded.
George confronted one of the men in Adams Road and when a struggled ensued, the man was shot in the leg and arrested.
His two accomplices escaped.
Further investigations will follow.
