Toti seniors warm up for Golden Oldies Games
Senior citizens are ready to compete in a variety of games.
TOTI’s senior citizens are in final preparation for the annual ‘Golden Oldies Games’, which takes place in the Tabor hall in Winklespruit over three days,Tuesday to Thursday, 30 September to 2 October.
According to social worker at Mooi Hawens, Elize Potgieter, five teams will battle it out for glory. “This year Mooi Hawens and Tabor have joined forces and will compete under the Residentia banner, along with Poinsettia Park Retirement Centre, Jabulani and teams from the community and Ezimangweni.”
Games will take place between 9am and 11.30am in the Tabor hall on the Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, 1 October, International Day for Older Persons, participants will dress-up for a fancy dress parade on the field outside Lords and Legends in Toti.
