Return nippers docs to club soon

Nippers should note this coming Sunday is the annual beach clean-up which will take place after training.

WINKLESPRUIT Surf Lifesaving Club’s upstairs area is really looking great, many thanks to all who are helping with the enhancements.

The toilets will be the next project and more help will be required so members must please volunteer their help.

This past Friday saw the seniors enjoy beer pong until late in the night and then on Saturday, members enjoyed SA beating NZ and a good braai afterwards. Be warned, if Gary Lloyd attends then you are in for a long, long night.

This past Sunday training continued as normal despite the big seas, with the nippers training in the pool and on the beach, much to their frustration as in the sea is where they want to be. Parents are to remember that suntan lotion, water, costumes and goggles must be brought to training. Parents also note that nipper documents must be returned to Fran or Gary as soon as possible. The juniors are getting close to their exams and attended a pre-test on Sunday under the guidance of Mark Barber. Hang in, there is only a few weeks to go.

The catering competition on Sunday mornings is in full swing with Helen, Claudine and Luke taking the lead.
