Special tea planned for next Toti WI meeting

Amanzimtoti Women’s Institute meet in the library activities room on the second Tuesday of the month at 9.15am.

PRESIDENT of Amanzimtoti Women’s Institute, Melanie Venske welcomed all members and bade special welcome to visitors Josie van Staden and Grace Finch and said she looked forward to their joining WI soon.

Melanie thanked members for helping her with all the arrangements for the 79th birthday party last month.

Marj Archibold will be 90-years young on 11 November, and a special tea will be held for her.

A report was given by Dawn Gould who attended the Federation of Women’s Institute’s 86th Congress, held at Fern Hill Hotel from 16 to 18 September.

The speaker this month was Riana De Bruin of Home Affairs, who gave a most interesting and rewarding resume’ of the functions of the Department of Home Affairs, for which the WI thanked her.
