DSW woes are widespread

DSW literally 'throws' “please recycle” initiatives at you.

EDITOR – I was not completely amazed when I read about the Toti SPCA’s recent woes with DSW.

I’ve had my good share but after three weeks, there’s still no success story to tell.

DSW literally ‘throws’ “please recycle” initiatives at you. Orange bags for plastic/paper, blue for garden refuse, black for household rubbish, and so on.

It’s sad to say that while the black bag thankfully still works, the orange, nor the blue do. For the past three weeks, these bags were left lying on the pavement every Friday, torn to pieces with rubbish strewn and blown all over.

And what does DSW’s contact, Patrick on 031-903-6739 have to say? “I apologise as we have new contractors who do not know the route yet.”

South Coast Sun, please refer this to our local councillor. Residents actually do pay for this service which now seemingly landed in the lap of some ‘relative-of-someone-working-for-the-council’. And in the meantime the filth and dirt keeps piling.
