Staff at a print shop are hard at work to complete a 6,000-piece puzzle for charity.
Tickets cost R10 each to stand a chance of winning the puzzle.
All proceeds go into Cansa’s Relay For Life fund.
“People can still collect sheets from us if they would like to sell raffle tickets on behalf of Cansa,” said organiser, Sharon-Ann Theron.
“The relay might be over, but this is current and we would like to raise as much funds as possible through this project.”
This is the third huge puzzle staff at The Printhouse.co.za in Seadoone Mall have assembled in recent years. In 2007 they completed an 18,000-piece puzzle for Khanya Hospice and in 2009 a 24,000-piece puzzle was donated to Kingsway Hospital.
Staff started work on the 1.6 metre x 1.4 metre puzzle in September in the shop and they hope to have it completed in a month.
The public is welcome to keep an eye on its progress, but unfortunately cannot join in the fun.
Cansa community mobiliser, Di Saunders will sell tickets outside The Printhouse.co.za shop on Monday, 27 October between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
To sell or buy tickets, contact Sharon-Ann Theron on 083-312-5360 or email errolandsharon@skytec.co.za.
The public can also make donations to the fund. Banking details: Account name: Cancer Association of South Africa, Standard Bank, Gale Place, Durban, branch code: 042526, account number: 051180596. Pay to code SC Puzzle.
