Twini Hill crash gridlocks N2 [PHOTOS]
Authorities urge motorists to drive carefully and exercise caution on the roads, as rain is predicted.
A DOUBLE-CAB bakkie rolled across the centre median on Twini Hill at about 7.15am this morning, Tuesday, 11 November, causing gridlock on both sides of the freeway.
It is not known how many people were injured, however a woman was seen being treated in the southbound emergency lane.
The bakkie seemed to have lost control, hit the barrier and rolled onto the southbound lane, coming to rest on its roof in the fast lane of Durban-bound traffic. A second vehicle in the southbound emergency lane appeared to have been struck at some point.
Traffic authorities and paramedics were on the scene.
Earlier this morning, in an unrelated incident, Netcare 911 reported on Twitter that a motorcyclist had crashed on the N2 at Moss Kolnick.
Authorities urge motorists to drive carefully and exercise caution on the roads, as rain is predicted.
