Concern over Dickens Road congestion

There are more businesses being built and the road is going to be more congested and more and more dangerous.

EDITOR – It is very obvious to me that when Arbour Crossing, the Galleria and so on were built, no thought was given regarding the flow of traffic using Dickens Road.

It has become very dangerous for scholars as well as other pedestrians wanting to cross the N2 on the left side of Dickens Road as there is no pavement for them to walk on.

There is a pavement on the right hand side but it is very dangerous to cross Dickens Road.

When I leave at about 7am during the week, there is already a build-up of traffic in both directions, including a huge increase in the number of heavy vehicles.

I feel that Dickens Road needs to be widened slightly to allow an area for cars turning right into Marshall Road. At the moment, as soon as my indicator is on, there is always someone trying to get past me on the left.

There are more businesses being built and the road is going to be more congested and more and more dangerous. Who can a person contact to find out if anything can/will be done to ease the flow of traffic and prevent accidents?

What was once a quiet residential area has now become a noisy business area.
