Sharks, skates aplenty for Buccs competition anglers

A reminder that Buccaneers' AGM will be on Saturday, 6 December and 9am for 9.30am at Buccs.

BUCCANEERS Fishing Club results from the competition on the weekend of 22 and 23 November.

Brian Scott took the inedible category with a brown skate of 12.5kg. He also recorded another brown skate of 10.7kg and a grey shark of 6.7kg. Well done Brian.

Other noteworthy catches were Dennis Nosworthy with a black tip shark of 11.1kg and a grey shark of 6.7kg; Deon Jordt with five grey sharks of 7.8kg, 6.7kg, 6.2kg, 6kg and 5.7kg. Deon’s son Aaron Jordt, a junior member, landed a brown skate of 9.5kg and a grey shark 5.7kg.

Garry Lloyd landed a brown skate of 6.1kg and another brown skate of 3kg, as well as a blue skate of 2.6kg.

The next and last competition will be the turkey trot on the weekend of 6 and 7 December.

A reminder that Buccaneers’ AGM will be on Saturday, 6 December and 9am for 9.30am at Buccs. The year-end prize giving will be held the following Saturday night, 13 December at 7pm for 7.30pm at the Buccs.
