Winkle BC looks forward to green re-opening

The monthly nominated mixed trips is on Sunday, 30 November at 8.30am.

DUE to the Winklespruit Bowling Club green still being closed for maintenance this week, club members played and supported other bowling clubs in the area.

Some members played at Umkomaas in the mixed fours on Thursday, 20 November with good results.

A Winklespruit team sponsored by PDN Projects consisting of Steve Evenwel, Jonty Denysen, Harry van Vuuren and Maureen Freeman played in the Wentworth Bowling Club’s 75th anniversary tournament on Saturday and Sunday, 22 and 23 November. Although light rain influenced play, everyone enjoyed a weekend of bowls.

Diarise the following: Opening of Winklespruit Bowling Club’s green on Friday, 28 November with social bowls at 2pm. Bowling clinic on Saturday, 29 November at 8.30am. Check the notice board for information. The monthly nominated mixed trips is on Sunday, 30 November at 8.30am. Place your team members’ names on the board. There is a bring and braai after the game.
