UPDATE: murdered teen laid to rest while police investigation continues
Social media reports this afternoon about a warrant of arrest being issued are untrue.
WHILE friends and family paid tribute and said farewell to murdered Toti teen Shannon Roberts (18), police are working tirelessly to solve the crime.
Investigating officer, W/O TC Nyawose has made renewed calls for any outstanding witnesses to the murder, which took place in coastal bush at a Doonside beach on Friday afternoon, 14 November, to come forward. He can be reached on 031-913-1327 or 031-913-1325.
Meanwhile at the weekend, Shannon was laid to rest after a funeral service in Gauteng.
At Winkle beach locals gathered to remember their friend at a beach bonfire. They released Chinese lanterns in her memory.
