Sign up for Winkle-Toti-Winkle ski race action
Saturday saw the juniors and seniors at the robots and once again the public were generous with their donations.

WINKLESPRUIT Surf Lifesaving Club reminds all paddlers and runners of the annual Winkle-Toti-Winkle ski race and beach run which takes place on 16 December at Winklespruit main beach starting at 9.30am.
There is also a short course walk and run to Warners and back.
As usual, there will be cash prizes and lots of lucky draw prizes for all competitors as well as lots of activities at the clubhouse and on the beach, so take the whole family down.
The past weekend got off to a great start with sundowners on Friday evening hosted by Gordon and Sarah. It was well attended and turned into a long night.
Saturday saw the juniors and seniors at the robots and once again the public were generous with their donations. Members appreciate this support and the funds raised will be well spent on club enhancements and competitions. Thereafter the pub crawl took place, obviously without juniors, and judging by the condition of some of the participants, a good time was had by all and decoders were the order of the day on their return to the club. Two notable absentees were Gary and Brad who dug deep into the book of excuses. Rumour has it they are in for a big fine when they come out of hiding.
The rugby was enjoyed by all until the 'reliable' power supplier decide to switch off the juice, then it was onto the braai and other festivities.
Retests and training were held on Sunday. Well done to the members who passed their retests and to the nippers who trained in the pouring rain until Gary eventually relented and chased them into the clubhouse. A big thank you also to the duty squad who persevered all day in weather conditions that were not ideal.
Upcoming events:
13 December – nipper Christmas party and sleepover.
16 December – Winkle-Toti-Winkle ski race and beach run.
29 December – golf day.
