NPO needs food donations

A non-profit organisation appeals for donations of food stuff from the public.

 
Edna Blom of Amanzimtoti Cares said they are not receiving enough food to feed the 30 families they look after.

 
“Please support us as January is a bad month,” she said. “We urgently need tin food, rice, pasta, maize meal, instant porridge and instant noodles.”

 
The NPO, which is based in Warner Beach, was started two years ago to support impoverished families.

 
It will soon open a shop, where the sale of donated goods will supplement its income to purchase much-needed foodstuffs.
