A SUCCESSFUL permaculture workshop was facilitated at Mthombeni Primary School in Bhekulwandle on Friday, 24 April.
It was facilitated by WESSA schools programme manager and horticulture expert Avril Wilkinson, who took the group of 20 participants through practical applications such as working within and applying principles of nature, soil fertility, water use, seasonal planting, and plant propagation.
The attending teachers were thrilled with the knowledge gained and were very excited to put it into practice at their schools. A huge thanks to AECI for funding this capacity development initiative.
