Better pipe network to feed Adams Mission’s thirst
Overall development in the area resulted in an increased demand for water.

A 400mm diameter water pipeline stretching over 4.1km will be constructed between Adams Mission 5 and Adams Mission 6 reservoirs on the outskirts of Toti, to cater for increased demand in the area.
“The spike in the water supply demand is as a result of the implementation of rural water and sanitation projects, the overall development of the area and an increase in the number of houses which are larger in size, which require full pressure connections from the water network,” said eThekwini Municipality’s head of communications, Tozi Mthethwa.
The construction was approved by the municipality’s human settlements and infrastructure committee.
