Spring into action for Casual Day

It is your opportunity to show solidarity with people with disabilities.

Casual Day, SA’s foremost fundraiser for people with disabilities is on Friday, 4 September.

The 2015 Casual Day campaign kicked off this week with the arrival of stickers from the printers. Schools, organisations and corporates will be able to put in their bulk orders for stickers now.

The 2015 theme is ‘Spring into Action’ – so take your inspiration from the birds and the bees, the skies of blue, the colours of the rainbow, blossoms on the trees and the minty hue of new leaves. The colour for the year is a refreshing, zingy mint.

Five different collectors’ stickers will also be produced, each with a different image. So you can wear a bouquet of stickers to celebrate your commitment to improving the world for persons with disabilities.

Collect five stickers at R10 each.

Casual Day provides the country with the opportunity to show their solidarity with people with disabilities, at the same time enjoying team building and camaraderie with their fellow participants.

Sponsored by the Edcon Group, Casual Day is owned and managed by the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities in South Africa.

In 2014, R28-m was raised countrywide.

Casual Day is a way for the disability sector to speak with one voice about ushering in a society that values human rights, inclusion, diversity and universal access to education for all its citizens.

Stickers are available from Edgars, Jet, JetMart, Boardmans, CNA, Red Square and Legit; Absa outlets; Game and DionWired stores; Shoprite and Checkers stores; and and the Casual Day website.
