Robber fires shot as he mugs pedestrian

They took valuables including cash.

A woman was robbed of valuables to the value of R3,000, after two men, one of whom was armed, held her up in Tibouchina Place in Kingsburgh on Wednesday, 19 August, at about 8pm.

“The complainant was walking home after alighting a taxi when she was approached by two men. One was carrying a firearm. They threatened her, grabbed her bag, fired a shot and fled on foot,” said Toti SAPS communications officer, Capt Charlene van der Spuy.

The woman was not injured. Her handbag, cellphone and cash were taken.
