EDITOR – To all at Khanya Hospice, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Neil and everybody.
A colleague of mine at Kingsway Hospital theatre, Aubrey’s mother has been ill for a while.
Aubrey expressed his wish that his mother could just be taken outside in a wheelchair to see the sun. I contacted Hospice, not knowing if it was possible to borrow a wheelchair. Neil delivered a wheelchair to us at Kingsway Hospital on the same day. He also gave Aubrey’s mother a beautiful blanket and a gift pack of Nivea products.
You cannot imagine the joy on Aubrey’s face. Because of the kindness of Hospice, a sick, frail and elderly woman was able to be taken into the sunshine in her last days.
