Calling all musos, fashion designers

Calling all aspiring musicians, DJs, fashion designers and promoters.

The DXG Music Conference takes place on Saturday, 14 November at Florence Mhkize’s home in Mkhize Road, Umbumbulu.

“Locals who want to get into the music or fashion industries are invited to attend the conference free of charge,” said organiser, Dan Gumede. “It starts at 8am and will feature lectures, a fashion show and a DJ competition, where the winner will walk away with R10,000.

If you want to get involved in music production, graphic design, fashion design, or open your own production company and plan and host your own events, you can learn where to study and what it takes to be successful in these industries.”

Organisers have invited representatives of the South African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO), as well as successful promoters to address the audience.
