[VIDEO] Rage sends car careening into lagoon
He was panicking, trying to get his door open.
There was great excitement among bystanders in Toti CBD on Thursday morning, 1 October after a man drove his vehicle into the lagoon in a fit of rage after having an argument with his wife.
Sweetwaters resident, Warren Sharp was driving along Kingsway at about 10.15am when he saw the vehicle plunge into the water.
“I dove into the water to pull the driver out. He was panicking, trying to get his door open. We managed to break the driver’s side window and I pulled him out.”
The VW Golf was completely submerged by the time police and rescue personnel were on the scene.
Fortunately the man was unhurt, although he was in shock from his close escape.
The things some paramedics have to do in a day’s work…..
