THE driver of a bakkie was ejected after his vehicle overturned on the northbound lane of the N2, between the Winklespruit and Doonside off-ramps on Wednesday evening, 18 November.
Paramedics responded to the incident at about 6pm after reports indicated the vehicle veered off the road, hit an embankment and rolled for about 50m.
“Paramedics and the fire department found that the driver had been ejected and was lying in the grass about 100m from the crumpled remains of the bakkie. Paramedics treated the man and after immobilising him on a trauma board, they transported him to an area hospital for further care,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.
