Woman hurt in rear-end crash

A vehicle swerved to avoid a taxi that was trying to overtake.

A woman was injured after her vehicle was rear-ended on the N2 in Toti on Tuesday afternoon, 2 February.

“We received a call for a two-vehicle collision on the N2 north just before Adams Road at about 1.30pm,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.

“Reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle swerved to avoid a taxi that was trying to overtake. The driver of the car veered into the slow lane, where another vehicle then rear-ended her vehicle.”

The woman sustained moderate injuries and medics treated her at the scene before they transported her to a local hospital. The driver of the other vehicle escaped uninjured.
