Fire guts Doonheights home

The family lost all their possessions and any donations will be welcome.

A Doonheights family lost all their possessions when their Erasmus Smit Road house was gutted in a fire on Wednesday night, 2 March.

According to Toti Fire officials who attended the scene, the family of five managed to escape unscathed, with only the 12-year-old daughter sustaining a cut to her face.

Unfortunately only the garage and kitchen were saved from the fire.

As they don’t have household insurance, any donations will be appreciated by the family.

If you can help with donations, drop them off at the fire station in Blaze Way.
