Dozen hurt after taxi collides with electricity pole

Of the 12 injured, two were assessed to have sustained serious injuries

Twelve people were hurt when a taxi collided with a light pole in Old Main Road, Isipingo just after 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon, 6 August.

Rescue Care paramedics found a dozen people lying on the roadway and more ambulances were called to assist, along with the Durban fire department.

Of the 12 injured, two were assessed to have sustained serious injuries. Once all of the injured were stabilised, they were transported to various Durban hospitals. The cause of the crash was unclear however SAPS were at the scene to investigate further.
