Help songbird wing her way to London audition

Sornia needs to raise R50,000 to afford priority visas and plane tickets to realise her dream.

Toti song bird Sornia Kanfer has been invited to audition for The Voice Kids TV show in London on 17 September and needs the public’s help to get there.

The TV show is related to The Voice singing competition but this one is for youngsters under the age of 15.

“We always watched The Voice Kids on TV,” said her mother Maureen. “I applied online on behalf of Sornia.”

The 14-year-old Kuswag Skool pupil performed ‘Music of the Night’ for her audition and impressed the judges. “I was very excited to hear back from them, especially because it’s worldwide and there are so many applications,” said the talented songstress.

“This audition could help me reach my dream of becoming a professional singer and be able to make South Africa proud of its youth.” Sornia needs to raise R50,000 to afford priority visas and plane tickets to realise her dream. She would have planned fundraisers if it wasn’t on such short notice and now needs the public’s help to wing it to London.

If you can help, her bank details are:

  • Capitec Bank,
  • M Kanfer,
  • account number: 1363478700,
  • branch code 470010
