Lions gift legacy bench to retirement home

The donation is our centennial service project.

Poinsettia Park residents have another place to socialise and enjoy the outdoors, after the Lions Club of Kingsburgh donated a bench to the home on Friday, 2 September.

“The donation is our centennial service project to celebrate the 100th aniversary of Lions Club International,” said Kingsburgh Lions president, Helen Toward.

“Lions clubs around the world have been asked to plan a legacy project of a visible gift to the community, which creates a lasting legacy of service.

Poinsettia Park is somewhere we thought the bench would come in handy. We usually do projects at the retirement home, so we know the residents will enjoy sitting in the garden and fellowship.”

The donation was timeously arranged for residents to enjoy the bloom of the home’s flowers for Spring time.
