Tablers assist hungry family in need

Their only worry was their child who needed to be fed.

An Amanzimtoti family in need got a pleasant surprise from Amanzimtoti Round Table (RT).

“A desperate member of the community approached Amanzimtoti RT on Monday, 30 January and asked for assistance with food,” said Amanzimtoti Round Table president, Vincent Tutt.

“They are a small family with a nine-year-old son. The husband has been out of work for sometime and travels daily to look for work.

They had no food in their house and their only worry was their child who needed to be fed.”

On Tuesday night, 8 February some of the Toti Tablers did some grocery shopping and made up a food parcel, which they handed over to the family.

“They were extremely grateful for the food donation and we know they will not go hungry for a while.

Thank you to Robby Ducasse for arranging a R1,500 donation from Mega Build-It to make this possible,” said Vincent.
