Sandy Schreiber will be missed

Sandy worked at Pierau Pharmacy in Winklespruit.

Well-known Toti local Sandy Schreiber (68) died on Monday, 6 February.

Sandy, who worked at Pierau Pharmacy in Winklespruit, was born in Kimberley in 1948, but moved to Toti when she was 12.

“Sandy was loyal and dedicated to her job. She was friendly, outgoing, caring and always put others first,” said her sister Cheryl Hinds in describing her.

Sandy did her schooling at Newton Primary School and Kingsway High School, where she was head girl in 1966.

“She loved playing hockey, but wasn’t a member of any sports or social clubs,” said Cheryl.

Her hobbies and interests included gardening and sewing, and she loved to travel and cruise.

She married Roger Schreiber in 1972, and was widowed in 2007.

Sandy is survived by Cheryl, her brother-in-law Ian, sons Neville and Antony, and grandsons Stewart and Ethan.
