A family was held up and robbed in their Ipahla Road residence by three men on Sunday, 19 February.
“The men threatened the family with firearms at about 7pm and demanded various items, which included jewellery, wallets, cash, bank cards, an iPad, laptop and iPhones,” said Amanzimtoti SAPS communication officer, Captain Charlene van der Spuy.
The men also loaded their flatcreen TV and fled the scene in the family’s car, a Toyota Fortuner. Fortunately the vehicle was fitted with a tracking device and was recovered in Umlazi.
A case of house robbery is being investigated by Amanzimtoti detectives.
