#NationalSiblingDay – Good reason to hug your sibling today

Give your brother or sister a call and let them know they are appreciated.

TODAY is #NationalSiblingDay where we appreciate our siblings.

No matter how annoying or weird they are, your brother and sisters have been there for you from the beginning.

They were your first best friend, the person you called when you were sad and your confidant when you needed to share your deepest secrets.

There is no denying that the bond between siblings is unbreakable.

The bond is so special it can even be on a deeper more intellectual level where some siblings are known to make world history. If it weren’t for the close relationship and brains of the Wright brothers, Mankind wouldn’t have taken to the skies. The two American brothers, inventors and aviation pioneers introduced the first, working and successful aeroplane. Their invention opened doors for new possibilities and advanced the development of technology in aviation.

Where would our childhood be without the creative and genius minds of the Grimm brothers who wrote famous fairytales which still inspires today’s movie world? They also wrote many stories about siblings who worked together to get out of sticky situations, such as Hansel and Gretel.

Even today, we have more sibling love than rivalry that we follow and look up to. Like powerhouse duo Serena and Venus Williams who have for many years dominated on the tennis court, raking up almost every world title in singles and doubles. No doubt, together, they are practically unbeatable.

So it goes to show, although you sometimes wish you were the only child, there is no life without you other half, the ying to your yang. Give your brother or sister a call and let them know they are appreciated. Let them know they are loved on #NationalSiblingDay .
