[SNEAK PREVIEW] WATCH: Countdown begins for Highland Gathering
Don't miss out on the fun at Amanzimtoti's iconic Highland Gathering tomorrow, 29 April.

Amanzimtoti will be drawing in visitors from afar as the 53rd annual Highland Gathering takes place tomorrow, 29 April.
The Hutchinson Park-based event will feature 33 pipe bands from all over the country along with other entertainment.
The Amanzimtoti Lions Club event has proven over the years to be great fun and draw in thousands from all over. This year, 12,000 people are expected to make their way to the event to enjoy the food, entertainment and the one-of-a-kind atmosphere the bag pipe bands create.
Proceeds from the NPO’s event are ploughed back into funding local development activities. Institutes and organisations which benefit from the Highland Gathering include Ethelbert Home, Jona Vaughan Home and Amanzimtoti Child Welfare.
While the tartan-clad dancers and bands will display their unique skills, visitors will have the opportunity to shop for a variety of foods, arts and crafts at a flea market. There will be a dedicated, genuine crafts section where only bona fide, hand-made crafters will showcase their wares. Don’t miss out on the entertainment, which includes a beauty pageant, modelling, a choice of at least 10 local music bands, as well as beer tents. There will also be a horse show in the arena.
