Time are a-changing for young Amanzimtoti musical mover and shaker

She won first place in music at the Eden’s Got Talent show.

Amanzimtoti singing sensation, Alaska Hilton will perform in the Westville Theatre show ‘Unplugged’, a show that highlights the music of the Bee Gees, Simon and Garfunkel, and Cosby, Stills and Nash.

The show runs from 24 to 27 August and from 30 August to 2 September.

Alaska left Amanzimtoti High School during the second term to enrol at Eden College in Glenwood to further her studies in advanced music, advanced dance and drama. This will all contribute towards her musical career.

“I’m absolutely loving Eden College. I have made so many new friends who have the same interests as me,” she said.

She won first place in music at the Eden’s Got Talent show on Thursday, 27 July with a beautiful rendition of the Sara Bareilles’ ballad ‘She Used To Be Mine’.

She also recently passed her Trinity College of London vocal exams with a great pass mark. “I was very proud of myself for passing my exams and I look forward to after I have completed all the exams, one day being able to teach vocals.”

Fans can catch Alaska and her band The Northern Lights on stage at Eden EcoFest at Eden College on Sunday, 6 August. “You can look forward to new, uplifting and modern songs at the EcoFest – music you can dance to.”

Alaska has also just completed her new music video for her new original single ‘Be Brave’. “My new song has a very strong, deep message to help those who are going through a difficult time and simply need motivation,” said the young vocalist. The video was shot at LT Studios by Tom Storm. It is in the final production phase and should be released soon.

The single is available on iTunes and Google Play.
