Ice hockey club seeks out donors for EP tournament costs

DurbaKnights is made up of several players from Amanzimtoti.

DurbaKnights Ice Hockey Club, based in Durban, will travel to Port Elizabeth to play against Eastern Province in a coastal challenge tournament from 9 to 14 December.

No other club or province has been to Port Elizabeth to play against Eastern Province since the opening of their new full ice rink at Bay West over two years ago.

DurbaKnights, made up of several players from Amanzimtoti, is sourcing sponsorship for 16 players to be able to make the trip possible.

Report-backs and photos of the tour will be provided to sponsors as feedback of any invested sponsorship and credit given (with company links) posted on the DurbaKnights’ webpage.

If you can help, call DurbaKnights Ice Hockey Club chairman, Michelle Murphy on 072-237-3114.
