On the brink of the ‘16 Days of Activism of No Violence Against Women and Children’ initiative, Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare has engaged in training community members.
This was an AECI initiative that took place at the Welfare office in Warner Beach on Thursday, 23 November.
The ‘16 Days of Activism’ initiative is held from 25 November to 10 December annually.
“It is aimed at raising awareness of the negative impact that violence and abuse has on women and children in society,” said senior social worker, Sandra Govender. “Our programme is designed to provide information about causes of domestic violence, as well as the problems and difficulty experience by the affected women and children.”
